Our Goal

The Defender model was first introduced in 1983 and was available in various sizes, including the D90, D110, D127, and D130. This reliable vehicle was produced for an impressive 33 years until 2016, when Land Rover decided to modernize the brand with a new, less rugged design.

Today, there are more than two million Defenders in existence, with a majority of them located in Africa and Europe. Our mission is to bring this restored vehicle to countries that didn't have the opportunity to experience it during its original production run. In 2018, Motor City Imports was founded in Detroit, USA to manage global sales and offering stock vehicles for the ultimate driving experience.

Now, Motor City builds Defenders with personalized, luxury interior designs, state of the art technology, unique accessories, high-tech modern drive train and everything in between from chassis to paint.

Our History

For over 40 years, our family has been involved in business in Africa and Europe. During this time, we have always been passionate about the Land Rover Defender, both as a personal preference and a reliable mode of transportation. This passion eventually led us to open our first Land Rover dealership in 1998, where we have been selling Defenders for decades.

Over the years, we have developed a global strategy to bring the Defender to parts of the world that may not have had the opportunity to experience this iconic vehicle. We are excited to share our love of the Defender with others and hope you will join us in enjoying this classic and reliable vehicle.
